I did a thing.

Earlier Alan reblogged this post about someone getting “DFTBA” engraved on their class ring, and it made me think about how we don’t have the option of class rings in the UK. So after spending ages searching for a site that would let me design a ring without being enrolled in an American high school, I started working on one for my school.

Then my brain, being my brain, was like LOL WAT R U DOIN and swung me around in the direction of making Hogwarts class rings instead. As you do.

I started with Ravenclaw, my house, and then just carried on from there. When I saw the lightning bolt as an option for the shank I decided I liked the idea of making these commemorative to the Battle Of Hogwarts and everything Harry did for the wizarding world, so set the year to 1998 (his graduation year).

The sad thing is that not only did I spend time doing these, but they  are potentially THINGS THAT CAN BE BOUGHT. But seriously don’t; the gold ones are like $900.

But for anyone curious, I made them at this site. Though don’t say I didn’t warn you :P
